G. Scott McCormack, Principal Scott is a third generation real estate developer and his extensive experience spans over 37 years encompassing a wide variety of high level senior management positions for major projects, master planned communities in Hawaii, and key US West markets. Scott is currently developing his own multifamily apartment and workforce housing projects in Boise Idaho with partner Downing Street Commerical Partners out of Denver with a goal of building or buying +1,000 units. Phase I of Limlight Village, a compact infill transit oriented 85-unit, four building, 3-level, apartment home complex in the heart of Boise Idaho, is slated to start construction in Spring 2021.

Scott, also acts as a senior advisor for Blackstone Real Estate (BRE) in Hawaii and other key clients. His current projects for BRE include Turtle Bay Resort, LLC www.turtlebayresort.com (previously SVP of Real Estate / Development ), a 1,300-acre, oceanfront master planned energized and experiential resort community on Oahu’s famous North Shore; and the Grand Wailea Resort a 40 acres, 776-room oceanfront resort in Wailea Maui. Scott works closely with the Blackstone team www.blackstone.com/ on implementing innovative repositioning, rebranding and expansion plan initiatives including but not limited to entitlements, design, feasibility and construction. Scott recently moved to Boise Idaho in August 2018 to be near family and pursue development opportunities in the Treasure Valley.

In the early ‘90s, Scott led large development teams in the design, financing, marketing and construction of large high rise resort and commercial projects for Pacific Rim Partnerships including Nauru Tower, a 44-story, 304-unit luxury condo tower and Harbor Court, a 500,000 sq. ft. mixed-use project on one of Honolulu’s prime Central Business District sites. Scott has managed and or completed construction projects exceeding $500M and most recently +$50M of renovation and repositioning improvements at Turtl Bay Resort on Oahu’s famour Northshore.

Scott also has an extensive career in the commercial real estate industry, where he served as Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis (www.cbre.us) Hawaii. Prior to CBRE, Scott held a high-level position with an active Pacific Rim opportunity fund as Vice President of Asset Management for Trinity Investment Trust LLC, responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and asset management of commercial assets. He worked on a portfolio of assets with values in excess of $500 million; and collaborated closely with investor partners including Apollo Real Estate Advisors LP and Goldman Sachs’ Whitehall Fund.

Scott moare recently provided strategic real estate development master planning, land management and execution leadership as the Resort / Development Manager at Princeville at Hanalei, an +8,000-acre master planned resort community on the North Shore of Kauai for The Resort Group and Morgan Stanley. Key responsibilities included completion of +$15M of renovations to Hawaii’s previously highest rated golf course, The Prince, its 60,000 sq ft clubhouse and completion of infrastructure improvements for the 500-acre Princeville Ranch Estates project.

Mountain resort assignments have included VP of Development for the 3,500 acre +850 unit, Tom Weiskopf 18-hole championship golf course, ski-in / ski-out Club at Spanish Peaks and 1,000-acre +650 unit Lone Moose Meadows in Big Sky Montana.

He is active in the Urban Land Institute (“ULI” for over 30 yrs), where was the founding Chairman of the ULI-Hawaii District Council (local chapter) and served on the Urban Dev/ Mixed-Use and Recreational Development product councils. He has served on many ULI leadership committees.

Scott received a Business degree in Finance from the University of Santa Clara and holds real estate broker licenses in Hawaii and Idaho.
